Two members of Buck Creek #410 were accepted and knighted into the A.A.S.R. Knights of St. Andrew on May 13, 2008. Bro. Chris Pennington and Bro. Terry Wester were both honored to be accepted by the group. Buck Creek was well represented with two members being accepted into the Knights of St. Andrew. If you are a 32º Scottish Rite Mason and are interested in this organization you can contact Brothers Chris and Terry. If you are not a 32º…there are plenty of brothers in the lodge who will be more than happy to sign a petition. The Knights of St. Andrew is a service organization developed for 32º Black Cap Members. The Principal goals of The Knights of St. Andrew are to provide an opportunity for Black Cap members to play a larger role within the Consistory during Reunions, and to help members become more active in the Consistory as a whole.
Our Blue Lodge teaches us that the principle tenets of Freemasonry are Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. As exemplified in the Scottish Rite 29th degree, we are taught the great virtues of knighthood: humility; patience; self denial; charity; generosity; clemency; virtue; truth, and; honor.
A chapter of the Knights of St. Andrew has been established in the Birmingham Valley. These 32º members who are members of the Knights of St. Andrew, Scottish Rite, Valley of Birmingham have made their commitment to promote and provide selfless dedication to our Masonic Fraternity within the Scottish Rite, our community, our jurisdiction, and state. As published by the Masonic Renewal Committee of North America Freemasonry is the oldest, largest Fraternity in the world. It's members have included Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Statesmen, Generals, Admirals, Supreme Court Chief Justices, corporate CEOs, opera stars, movie stars, and probably, your next door neighbor. And Masonry is always ready to welcome good men in the Fraternity. It's ready to welcome YOU, if in your heart you can answer"yes" to a few questions. |

That's not a surprising question. Even though Masons (Freemasons) are members of the largest and oldest fraternity in the world, and even though almost everyone has a father or grandfather or uncle who was a Mason, many people aren't quite certain just who Masons are. (We'll look at some of these things later.) |
